OPERATORS' PRECISION CHALLENGE

Operator’s Precision Challenge- Mechanics
The contest consists of 3 parts or different challenges that take approximately 10 minutes.  Each part or challenge is scored based on precision, smoothness of operation, and completion of task. Each contestant can score a maximum of 80 points.

Requirements:

  • Contestant must be at least 18 years old
  • Contestant must complete a registration form and receive confirmation from Liebherr that the operator is qualified to run the equipment.
  • Contestant must read and sign the liability waiver prior to the challenge
  • Contestant must complete a five minute equipment familiarization training prior running the machine designated for the challenge. 

First Challenge: Warm-up
The first challenge is simply to un-couple the standard bucket from the machine using the Likufix system and placing it inside a designated area without moving or breaking the boundaries of the rectangular area.

The maximum score for this challenge is 20 points.

Second Challenge: Rolling the Lucky Number
The second challenge requires contestants to couple the ditch-cleaning bucket and then passing the bucket through a set of goal posts and finally “rolling” the dice that are inside of the ditch-cleaning bucket.  The “number” that contestants roll will be recorded and used for a tie breaker if necessary. 

The maximum score for this challenge is 30 points. 

Third Challenge: Shooting a Hoop
The third and last challenge requires contestants to attach a tilt-rotator bucket,  rotate the bucket in order to pick up a ball and, lastly, rotate the bucket to place the ball in the basket.

The maximum score for this challenge is 30 points.

There will be a winner at the end of each day and an overall winner will be selected based on the highest score obtained during the show.  The daily winners will receive a limited edition 1:50 scale die cast R924 Compact-Swing model excavator and the overall winner will be awarded $1000.  Contestants do not need to be present to receive their prize(s) as all prizes will be mailed to the address provided on the registration form.
